About Us

Back Office Solutions was incorporated in the Isle of Man in early 2011 to bring together a management team that had been working together for well over a decade in various areas such as broking, fund administration, life company adminstration, asset management and information technology.

The company purchased the web domain broker-backoffice.com, associated intellectual property and customer base from the BVI based company Portfolio Builder Holdings Ltd. The roots of the system go back to 1999 but since 2011 it is has been the sole property of BOSL Ltd. Most of the BOSL directors live in the Isle of Man and work from our offices in Douglas. All the Board Directors have spent the majority of their working lives in the Financial Services Industry.

Tony Preece - Managing Director

Originally from Doncaster in South Yorkshire, Tony is the owner of BOSL and joined the Financial Services industry in the UK in 1982, he has a Business Studies Degree and extensive experience in business management usually at board level. Tonys interests also include a 32% shareholding in Mithril Asset Management Ltd a Mauritius based company that holds licences in Mauritius and Malta. Mithril Asset Management owns 99% of the Management shares of the Provenance Luxury Brands Fund SICAV in Malta. Tony is also a 50% owner of Blue Sea International, an Isle of Man Fund Administration Company incorporated in 2004.

Steven Barrett - Director of IT

Steve, also a South Yorkshireman from Sheffield, is an IT specialist and has worked with Tony since 1999. Steve is a coding and software specialist and formally worked for BT in the UK. Steve has worked on the IP of Broker Back Office with Tony since its embrionic conception back in 1999 and has lived and worked in the Isle of Man since 2011 for BOSL. Blue Sea International and BOSLs corporate services provider Cavendish Trust.
